GUWAHATI, Aug 12 - The 86th birthday of Prof Bhaba Prasad Chaliha, oriental scholar and retired Head of the Department of Assamese, Gauhati University, will be observed at Satyanath Bora Bhawan, Dighalipukhuripar, at 3.30 pm on August 20.
Christened as �Day of Humanity� or �Manabatar Din�, the day will be inaugurated by Homen Borgohain.
Dr Lakshmi Nandan Bora will attend the function as the chief guest while DN Chakrvartty will preside over it.
