GUWAHATI, Jan 3 � ERD Foundation, in association with the University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya, is going to honour eminent literary personalities of the State at a colourful felicitation programme to mark the advent of the New Year 2012.
Personalities who have made immense contributions to the field of literature, namely Homen Borgohain, Lakshmi Nandan Bora, Kanak Sen Deka, Atulananda Goswami, Dr Promod Bhattacharya, Arun Sharma, BS Narzary and Eli Ahmed are in the elite list of authors who would be felicitated by ERDF this year. This was stated by M Hoque, chairman of ERDF in a press release.
Dignitaries from all walks of life will grace the programme to be held at the Regional Institute of Science & Technology (RIST) at 9th Mile on January 7 at 10.30 am. Former Vice Chancellor of Gauhati University Prof NK Choudhury will preside over the function.
It may be recalled that last year in a similar programme ERDF had felicitated 12 former Vice Chancellors of NE universities at a function in which Meghalaya Governor RS Moosahary was the chief guest.
