Equestrian camp concludes

DIBRUGARH, Dec 31 � A week-long coaching camp for advanced young riders, under the guidance of Richard Hutcheson from Australia, concluded here on December 27. The camp was held with the aim of preparing and training young riders from the region, especially from Assam and Manipur.

The camp had 7 participants represented by The Assam Valley School � Balipara, DPS � Numaligarh, Manipur Police and riders from Assam presently studying in Kolkata and Delhi.

The purpose of the camp, which was held under the aegis of Equestrian Federation of India, was to prepare young riders of the region for future competitive events and national championships.

The Equestrian Federation of Assam (EFA) also held its AGM on the sideline of the coaching camp, which was chaired by Dilip Bora, vice president of EFA.

With a core group of young riders showing promise and good potential, said Siddhardh Sharma, secretary of EFA.
