Employees of DDK, Guwahati donate flood relief

MORIGAON, July 31 - In a laudable move, the employees of Doordarshan Kendra, Guwahati carried out a relief operation among the flood- affected people. The DDK, Guwahati team conducted a flood relief operation in flood-ravaged Khulagaon and Misamari villages under Mayong revenue circle in Morigaon district yesterday and distributed rice dal, mosquito net, bed sheets, school copy books among the children. The DDK, Guwahati team led by Pradip Goswami and Achyut Kalita said that the employees and officers of Guwahati Doordarshan have donated substantial fund to the tune of Rs 85 lakh. The DDK, Guwahati staff also distributed relief in west Nalbari district among the people. Besides their flood relief, the team has also provided health and hygiene tips to the people in post-flood situation. They also distributed several medicines and other materials for the clean environment in those areas.
