GUWAHATI, Dec 20 - Brihattar Panjabari Sahitya Sabha, Panjabari Senior Citizens� Association, Baghorbori Mahila Samannay Parishad and other socio-cultural organisations of Panjabari area will felicitate eminent scholar, author and columnist Dr Surendra Mohan Mahanta, retired HoD of Political Science of Cotton College at a function to be held at the Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra museum hall at 2:30 pm on December 22.
Two books of poems and articles by Dr Mahanta and a book on his felicitation will be released on the occasion.
Kuladhar Saikia, president, Asam Sahitya Sabha will be the chief guest of the function. Mrinalini Devi, president of Kamrup Mahanagar Zila Sahitya Sabha will be the special guest.
