TURA, March 3 - West Garo Hills Police on Monday recovered the body of a 70-year-old woman under suspicious circumstances from near Kherapara village after she had allegedly gone missing two days earlier.
The murdered woman, Wanri Sangma, who was also a �Nokma�, was found at Akipara Agitok under the Dalu PS.
According to villagers, Sangma had been missing since Saturday, though no police complaint was registered in this regard.
�Her body was found under mysterious circumstances and a case has been registered after an inquest. Reports of the post mortem are awaited,� said West Garo Hills SP Dr MGR Kumar.
Police sources said that a murder case had been registered.
