Educationists visit school

GUWAHATI, Nov 19 � A team of educationists led by Gauhati University Vice Chancellor Dr Mridul Kumar Hazarika visited the Palasbari Anchalik High School and encouraged the students in their pursuit of education to become responsible citizens of the country, sources said.

The Vice Chancellor, addressing some 600 students, stressed on the need for meaningful study which will lead them to success, while Kabita Hazarika, the wife of Dr Hazarika asked the students to draw inspiration from the Sun and try to achieve brightness.

Dr Ramesh Barpatra Gohain, HoD, Law, GU in his address stressed on protecting and preserving the social as well as the natural environment for the cause of society.

Dr Jyoti Bora, principal, Gauhati University Law College explained the four scerets of success in life.

Dr Ashutosh Kundu, senior faculty of BRM Govt Law College, Panjabari here, while explaining the aims and objective of their visit, also dwelt on the importance of concentration, honesty and the screts of success in life narrating some incidents from the life of Swami Vivekananda.

Speaking on the occasion, Mukibur Rahman and Bidyut Kumar Baisya, both assistant professors of Pragjyotish College here, while stressing on the importance of games and sports in life, exhorted the students to show their creativity in every walk of life. Mrinalini Das Choudhury in her speech explained the various aspects of sussess in life.

School teacher Khagen Chandra Medhi offered the vote of thanks, the sources added.
