GUWAHATI, July 27 � Dynamo Club caused an upset in today�s match of the RG Baruah Super Division Football League of Guwahati Sports Association defeating ASEB 3-2 at the Nehru Stadium here. It was a thrilling encounter as both the teams adopted attacking tactics from the kick-off onwards.

Dynamo�s Nigerian striker Abraham Goodluck drew first blood in the 14th minute with a header off a flag kick taken by Lalfakmawia. But their jubilation was short lived as Chayaram Boro equalised just after two minutes.

Off a well combined move initiated by Nitu Narzary and Maneswar Basumatary, Chayaram beat Dynamo custodian Mantu Mallik with a smart drive.

But the winning team went ahead in the 18th minute through a gem of a goal scored by Lalfakmawia. Anticipating the ball off a flag Lalfakmawia volleyed home from a crowded defence.

After the break, the momentum of the game rose as all the players enhanced their speed in exchanging the ball. In the 68th minute, Chayaram again netted for his team to drew parity for the second time.

The ASEB boys, however, could not guard their fort properly as Lalfakmawia fired the match winning goal in the 68th minute. But the scoreline may have been 3-3 had ASEB defender Biplob Kundu not missed a spot kick in the 47th minute.

Earlier, Gauhati Town Club beat Assam Police Blues 1-0 yesterday.

Chandmari SC win: In the Jibeswar Goswami A Division League, Chandmari Sports Club edged past City Police 1-0.

The all important goal of the match was scored by Valabel Jovte in the very second minute of the match.

Today�s matches: (Super Div) FCI vs Sunrise; (A Div) Rajbari vs Navajyoti.
