TINSUKIA, Jan 24 � The three-day Dibrugarh University Inter-college Yuba Mahotsav, 2014, which started on January 21 at the Tinsukia College here, concluded on Thursday with the prize distribution ceremony.

Over 1,200 students from 50 colleges, affiliated to the university, participated in the Mahotsav.

The prize distribution function was presided over by Dr Bhuban Gogoi, principal of Tinsukia College, and attended by Union DoNER Minister Paban Singh Ghatowar, Parliamentary Secretaries Raju Sahu and RP Singh, Dr Anil Saikia, Coordinator, Cultural Department, Dibrugarh University, Dr Mantu Boro, Executive Director, Department of Sports, Dibrugarh University, and Dr Rana Changmai, president of the Assam College Teachers� Association, among other dignitaries.

After releasing The Tinsukia College Chronicle, a biennial newsletter of the college, Ghatowar said that the college years are a golden period as a person gets the opportunity to explore various cultures and traditions of the land.
