GUWAHATI, March 13 � The District Transport Officer (registration and licencing), Kamrup (Metro) Gautam Das has asked the owners of the motor vehicles of Kamrup (Metro) district to pay their outstanding road tax before March 31, 2015.
The DTO has informed that the motor vehicle owners who have not paid their road tax, not renewed the RC and fitness certificate and the driving licence holders who have not renewed their driving licences can pay their taxes and fees between 10 am and 3pm at specified cash counters of the office situated at Betkuchi here on all working days.
The DTO further informed that the Motor Vehicle Inspectors under his direction have been conducting road checking drives against the defaulting vehicle owners who have not paid their road taxes, so that no vehicle can ply on road without paying tax, an official release stated.
