GUWAHATI, Oct 24 - Police today detained Rajib Sarma, owner of Health Home, a medical store located in Kharguli area, after a person reportedly died after consuming medicine bought from the store.

The person, who was identified as Uttam Barman, died after consuming the medicine which had reportedly passed its expiry date.

Following the incident, locals and family members of the deceased protested against the medical store, which they alleged, was running without any requisite permission from the authorities concerned.
