GUWAHATI, Dec 6 - Two motorcycle-borne unidentified miscreants fired at drug mafia Pakhi Miyan, currenty on bail, near the Bhetapara hockey stadium under Basistha police stadium tonight.
Miyan recieved injuries in his hand and has been rushed to the Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH). The incident took place around 8 pm, police said, adding, Miyan was travelling in a Gypsy vehicle with his driver.
Senior police officials, including DCP Mohneesh Mishra rushed to the spot. Police was trying to ascertain if any nearby CCTV captured the incident. The bullet was suspected to be that of a 9mm pistol.
Miyan was arrested several times by police in connection with various cases. On instances, huge quantity of drugs was found in his possession. In one instance, he had even fled from GMCH while in custody.
