TINSUKIA, Sept 28 - Acting on a tip-off, Tinsukia Police on Tuesday evening apprehended one Niru Gohain, a 4th grade female employee of Tinsukia Civil Hospital, on charges of drug peddling. Police found 9 packets containing 50 gms of brown sugar. Investigation is on.
Poacher held: Lekhapani Police, in a joint operation with para military forces, arrested one Koliya Barua, a poacher, from Jagun in Tinsukia district on Tuesday.
Police recovered a hand-made gun, other arms and ammunition and an animal hide from his residence at No. 2 Faneng Gaon.
