Drama school opened

DOOMDOOMA, Feb 26 - Prachurjya Natya Kala Adhayan Kendra (PNKAK), a school of drama was inaugurated on Monday at the premises of Sadou Moran Kala Sanskriti Vikas Kendra situated at Topubon of Rupai Siding here by eminent Assamese actor Utpal Das. The inaugural programme was also attended by Sukumar Barman, an eminent actor of mobile theatre.

Pinku Moran, a post-graduate of drama from Dr Bhupen Hazarika Centre of Performing Art, Dibrugarh University and a resident of No. 1 Kordoiguri village here will be the chief instructor of the school. Besides acting, training on personality development, eloquence and intelligence will also be imparted in the school.

Former MLA of Doomdooma LAC Dilip Moran, retired professor of Doomdooma College Lakheshwar Moran, journalist Arjun Baruah, professor of Doomdooma College Madhurjya Mahanta, Doomdooma Jatiya Vidyalaya Principal Surabhi Moran, AMSU cultural secretary Montu Chetia, Principal of Kordoiguri Junior College Juganta Moran, director of Dipty Nrityalaya Dipty Gohain, Jatiya Mohila Parishad Doomdooma unit president Biswarupa Neog Moran, teacher of Modern Academy, Rupai Sangita Sharma and several other distinguished persons attended the inaugural programme which was anchored by Joykanta Moran, secretary of the managing committee of the drama school.
