SIPAJHAR, March 24 � The rank and file of the AGP remains intact with Dr Zoii Nath Sarma who is fighting the election in 66 Sipajhar LAC as an independent candidate as the AGP had denied party ticket to him. This time, the party offered ticket to Mukut Sarma.
A large number of Congress activists who opposed the party�s candidate Binanda Kr Saikia have openly come forward in support of independent candidate Dr Sarma. Congress candidate BK Saikia has also been trying to woo the voters taking the opportunity of political situation in AGP camp.
BJP candidate Kuladhar Saharia, presents himself as an alternative to other candidates. This time election battle in Sipajhar has become interesting as Dr Zoii Nath Sarma is utilizing his long time experience in politics
to win.
Political scenario in the entire Sipajhar LAC has undergone a sea change during the last few days which is bound to be reflected not only in Sipajhar but also in Mangaldoi LAC and Kalaigaon LAC.
