GUWAHATI, March 3 � Dr Sarbeswar Sahariah, will be the �Guest of the Month� at the Guwahati Press Club (GPC) on March 4. The interactive session will start at 2pm.
Dr Sahariah hails from Mangaldoi and is at present based in Hyderabad. Dr Sahariah has performed more than 3000 renal transplant operations which may be a record for a surgeon in India.
He has recently started a charitable organisation titled North East Care Foundation along with a free medical clinic and a dispensary at Pachim Baragaon here for the benefit of weaker sections of the society.
Dr Sahariah, who has attended a number of conferences held in Singapore, Taipei, Bangkok, Karachi, Dubai, Mauritius, Japan, Greece, USA, Turkey, Philippines, Pattaiah, Rome etc., has been honoured with many awards including the Padmashri.
