GUWAHATI, April 21 � Assam Down Town University has undertaken a collaboration programme with Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT), Ireland which will enable the interested students to join a course in Assam Down Town University and finish that course in LIT.
International officers of LIT, John Cooke and Paul Madden informed that this tie up will confer two degrees to those students interested to pursue a course in LIT.
�This initiative is nothing less than creating a pathway for students willing to study in Ireland,� said Cooke before mediapersons here.
It needs to be mentioned here that Assam Down Town University has signed a MoU with LIT, to run two programmes collaboratively, that is Bachelors of Engineering in civil and mechanical. Students from Assam Down Town University will be eligible to join LIT from September this year for their last two years of engineering.
�This is a huge advantage for the students not only in terms of the learning and experience but also that the students are able to seek employment opportunities in India as well as abroad,� said Madden.
