GUWAHATI, Dec 10 � Down Town Hospitals has been giving award for excellence in medicine for the last 12 years in order to uplift the spirit of the doctors from North-east and to encourage them to continue their dedicated service to the community in any part of the globe.
Nominees for the award should be doctors from north-eastern States having outstanding performance in the field of medical and health service all over India and abroad. The Down Town Award for Excellence in Medicine for 2012 will be given on February 15, 2012 at a public meeting, according to a press release.
Down Town Hospital is also giving Dr Jogesh Mahanta Memorial Award for doctors having contribution in clinical work and Dr Pratul Goswami Memorial Award for doctors doing research work in Assam. The awards will be given on February 15, 2012.
