GUWAHATI, March 5 � Srimanta Sankardev Namghar Kalakristi Kendra, Pub-Sarania, Guwahati is going to celebrate the ensuing Doulotsava with a three-day programme from March 18 to 20, a press release stated.
The first day�s programme on March 18 include naam-kirtan followed by a procession with the idol of Gobinda to the namghar premises, mesh-dah, arohan of Gobinda on the doul, release of souvenir �Gobinda� by Dr Sibnath Barman, educationist and erstwhile Professor of Arya Vidyapeeth College. Cultural programme will be presented by the local artists.
The celebration will conclude on March 20 with a sueri festival observed by the devotees of the namghar with a colourful procession taken in and around Pub-Sarania. The celebration committee headed by Satish Chandra Talukdar as president and Prafulla Barua as general secretary has requested all to attend all the programmes and make the celebrations a grand success, the release added.
