DLSA Udalguri appeals to people not to panic

UDALGURI, Nov 18 -�The general people of the country need not to worry over the recent demonetisation move of the Union Government. It is a people friendly move to unearth black money hoarded by some people who do not want the country to be prosperous.� This was the common view of the District Legal Service Authority of Udalguri while making the people aware of the recent demonetisation policy of the Government.

Speaking on the occasion here, BK Sen, chairman of DLSA, Udalguri and District and Sessions Judge of Udalguri Court appealed to the people not to panic over the recent move of the Government for it was the need of the hour to take such a tough step. On the other hand, Roshan Lal, secretary of the DLSA, Udalguri and Assistant District and Sessions judge of Udalguri court appealed to the people to bear with such inconveniences which are �temporary in nature and would benefit the common people in the long run�.

The awareness meet organised by the DLSA, Udalguri was attended by curious people who were not aware of the outcome of such a move of the Government.

Hagrama�s appeal: �Let us join hands to make the BTC a model region. It has been my dream to translate this backward region into a model region with all facilities for the common people, irrespective of caste, creed and religion,� said Hagrama Mohilary, chief of the BTC authority while addressing a party meeting of Bodoland Peoples� Front (BPF) organised by the Udalguri district committee of the regional ruling party here at Phuhurabari, Maradhansri near Rowta today.

Mohilary also outlined various schemes of the regional ruling party in the four districts under the BTC and hoped that the projects and schemes meant for the overall development of the region would be successful despite financial problems now being faced by it. The meeting chaired by Sunil Dutta, president in-charge of the district committee of the party was also attended by Cabinet Minister Rihon Daimari, Charan Boro, MLA of Mazbat LAC, Shyam Sundi, executive member from Panchnoi Serfang, Alindra Mochahary, executive member from Rowta constituency among others.

Meanwhile, talking to mediapersons on the occasion, Mohilary welcomed the demonetisation policy of the Government for stable economic growth.
