GUWAHATI, Sept 5 - Cottonian Class of 75, a registered trust, is holding a quiz competition in memory of former principal of Cotton College late Dilip Kumar Baruah, who had popularised quiz in the region over the last three decades.
The annual event, to be known as �Dilip Kumar Baruah Memorial Quiz�, will be held at 2 pm on September 15 at Sudmersen Hall, Cotton University campus.
Vice Chancellor of Cotton University Dr Bhabesh Chandra Goswami will be the chief guest, while Indira Baruah, wife of late Dilip Kumar Baruah, will attend the event as the guest of honour.
Students pursuing degree courses in colleges and PG in the universities of Guwahati can participate in the event. Each institution can send a maximum of two teams, each team comprising two students, to the event.
There will be prize money of Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 for the best team, 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively.
