NORTH LAKHIMPUR, Aug 30 - Students with disabilities who cleared the HSLC and HS examinations in 2016-17 were felicitated in North Lakhimpur on Monday. The felicitation function was organised by Lakhimpur District Inclusive Education Department for Children with Special Needs of Sarva Siksha Abhiyan at North Lakhimpur Town Middle School.
The meeting was chaired by Soneswar Nath, the coordinator of cluster centre, SSA. Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur, Dr Ashraful Amin, attended the function as the chief guest. The Superintendent of North Lakhimpur Civil Hospital, Dr Hemanta Kumar Dutta; and Inspector of Schools of North Lakhimpur, Kanakeswar Deka; also attended the function as the invited guests. As many as 16 differentially-abled students were felicitated in the function.
