GUWAHATI, Aug 22 - The Dibrugarh District Sports Association under the aegis of the Assam Table Tennis Association will host the 25th All Assam Ranking Table Tennis Championship at the DDSA Indoor Stadium in Dibrugarh from August 24 to 27.
It will be the year�s sixth State TT championship after Nagaon, Golaghat, Jorhat, Duliajan and Don Bosco School, Guwahati.
Altogether 10 individual events, from cadet to senior, both male and female will be conducted during the four-day championship. Around 450 players from the ATTA affiliated units including Guwahati, Nagaon, Tezpur, Golaghat, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Nazira, Namrup, Dibrugarh, North Lakhimpur, Silchar, Duliajan and institutions like Oil India Limited, NF Railway are expected to take part in the meet.
Biman Bhagawati of Sivasagar will conduct the tournament as chief referee and he will be assisted by Govinda Upadhaya of Guwahati and Jyotirmoy Khanikar. Devojyoti Sutrikar, assistant secretary of ATTA of Jorhat has been appointed as official observer, stated a release issued by ATTA secretary Tridib Duvarah.
