Dibrugarh DC orders action against irregular teachers

DIBRUGARH, Dec 9 - Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri has directed officials of the Education Department to submit monthly report of the schools inspected in the district after regularly conducting inspection of the educational institutions.

The Deputy Commissioner passed the directive after receiving complaints of frequent and unauthorised absence of teachers and winding up of classes before the scheduled time. She has directed the school sub-inspector to initiate the termination process of all the guilty teachers from their posts with immediate effect.

It may be mentioned that during the recent visit of Governor Jagdish Mukhi to a school in nearby Tinikunia here, the Principal of No. 1 Tinikunia Adarsha Buniyadi Girls� School was found absent.

Taking serious note of the unauthorised absence, the Education Department has been asked to proceed with the termination. Similarly, the district administration has also asked the school authorities to initiate action against a school under Joypur Education Block, which was found winding up classes hours before the scheduled closing time.

The Deputy Commissioner has demanded that the officials of the Education Department visit schools regularly and ensure proper ambience for learning.
