DIBRUGARH, July 7 � The district administration in collaboration with a cross section of people along the 57-km Moran-Naharkatia road today attempted to earn a place in the Limca Book of Records by planting 22,084 plants of various species in 22 minutes.

Observers of Limca Book of Records witnessed the plantation at separate areas along the road. Around 1,100 people were engaged in plantation, while thousands witnessed the mega event. Forest Minister Atuwa Munda started the event by planting a sapling at 11 am and later with a blow of whistle, people along the road begun the plantation.
