GUWAHATI, Dec 28 - City based Sunrise Athletic Club, set up in 1957, will celebrate its diamond jubilee from January 15 to February 10. An affiliated club of the Guwahati Sports Association, Sunrise AC is planning to observe the occasion in a befitting manner with various programmes.
Apart from hoisting the diamond jubilee flag in its Kahilipara Colony premises on January 15, programmes like tree plantation, cloth distribution to needy persons, among others will be carried out. Other events including a football tourney, free of cost eye and health check up, medicine distribution, prize-money half marathon, art competition among school children, carrom competition, felicitation of former players of the club, among others will be conducted during the occasion.
