Dhemaji boy clears civil services� exam

SILAPATHAR, May 9 � Satyakam Dutta, an inhabitant of Natun Nagar of Dhemaji town has brought glory to the Dhemaji district after securing 535th position in the Civil Services Examination conducted by the UPSC. He is the son of Lakhyaswar Dutta and Nijara Dutta.

A brilliant student, Satyakam got 2nd position in HSLC exam in 1999. He completed his BE in Computer Science from NIT, Surat after passing HS (Sc) from Cotton College, Guwahati. He got the Master of Management degree from IIT, Mumbai. Starting his career from Aricend, Gurgaon, presently he is working as a consultant in Information Technology Department in Shillong under Meghalaya Govt.

He took Assamese and Public Administration in the Main Exam of UPSC. He is the 2nd person of Dhemaji district to succeed after Biswajit Pegu in 2009. The people of Dhemaji district including various students organisations, Silapathar Press Club have heartily congratulated Satyakam Dutta for his success in the UPSC examination.
