HAFLONG, April 6: Lt Gen Sukhdeep Sangwan, SM, Director General Assam Rifles, visited the Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) headquarters located at Srikona in Cachar on April 5 last, stated a press release issued by PRO, IGAR(East).
IG Assam Rifles (East) briefed the General Officer on the operational and administrative preparedness in the area of responsibility.
This was followed by a visit to HQ 22 Sector Assam Rifles at Haflong where he reviewed the security situation.
The General Officer expressed his satisfaction on the operational preparedness of the force in maintaining peace and tranquility in the region.
During his interaction with troops, he complimented the soldiers for their professionalism, commitment and dedication to duty in this hostile terrain and such challenging conditions.
