HAFLONG, Aug 24 - A team of the Public Accounts Committee, led by Rajdeep Gowala and others, visited Haflong to take stock of the works undertaken by various government departments, DRDA and development blocks of Dima Hasao district during 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17 with funds allocated by the Centre and the State Government.
Officers of the departments concerned submitted reports to the Public Accounts Committee team for a thorough study on various issues and verification of their achievements, etc., at the conference hall of the Circuit House here.
The objective of the Public Accounts Committee is to take stock of the developmental works under the Government of Assam so that funds are utilised appropriately. The committee team also undertook field verification of the works which have already been completed.
