NUMALIGARH, April 20 - Devanga Pratim Hazarika, Avnish Baruah and Devangana Borkataky won the boys� U-12, boys� U-14 and girls� U-18 singles crowns respectively in the 9th Kaliyani Open Ranking Tennis Tournament.
On the fifth day of the championship today at the Numaligarh Refinery Township, Numaligarh, Devanga defeated Anurag Konwar 6-0, 6-4 for the boys� U-12 title while Avnish got the better of Anuranan Choudhury 6-4,6-4 to pocket the boys� U-14 crown. In the girls� U-18 title clash Devangana trounced Jutina Borgohain 6-2,6-3.
Due to bad weather, one day has to be extended to finish all the matches. All the remaining matches are expected to be played tomorrow.
