Deploy adequate security personnel: AIUDF

GUWAHATI, Aug 28 � The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) today demanded immediate steps to post adequate number of security personnel in the violence-hit areas of the State�s Bodoland Territorial Administrative Districts (BTAD.

In a memorandum to the Chief Minister here, the party has also sought immediate steps to seize all the legal and illegal arms in the BTAD areas.

It has also pleaded that immediate rehabilitation of all the displaced people should be ensured and the safe return of the inmates of the relief camps to their native places should also be ensured with adequate security.

The party has said in its memorandum that adequate compensation should be provided to all the affected people. Besides, there should be immediate measures to supply adequate quantity of medicines and foodstuff to the inmates of the relief camps.

In its memorandum, the party has also called for steps to ensure safe return of the students and employees of the State, who have recently returned from other parts of the country in the wake of a hate message campaign, to their places of study and work.
