GOLAGHAT, Nov 23 The Parliamentary Secretary of the Home Department, Atuwa Munda has sought the Central Government help to ease the tension in the Assam-Nagaland border, while requesting Delhi to take stern action against the Naga miscreants fomenting trouble.

In the B sector of the Assam-Nagaland border, the Naga miscreants recently killed one Assamese farmer, while several persons were kidnapped. This act of cowardice by the Naga miscreants had been vehemently criticized by the Parliamentary Secretary.

Munda said the State Government has initiated discussion with the Nagaland government for establishment of peace and integrity in the border areas.

It may be pertinent to mention here that the Naga miscreants with the help of the NSCN cadres had fired open the Assamese farmers who were busy harvesting crop in their paddy fields in the B sector of Uriumghat area on November 12.
