By The Assam Tribune

KOHIMA, July 8 The Parliamentary Working Committee (PWC) of Nagaland Legislators Forum on Naga Political Issue on Monday decided to send a delegation to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Central leaders to urge them to settle the over six-decades-old Naga problem at the earliest.

The decision was taken during the first closed-door meeting of the PWC in the Assembly Conference Hall, an official of the Assembly Secretariat said.

The delegation to Delhi will also meet the interlocutor to Naga Peace Talks and Union Home Minister besides the Prime Minister.

Concerned over the abrogation of ceasefire between the Government of India and NSCN (K), the Committee also resolved to request the apex tribal bodies of the State Naga Hoho and Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organisation to send a delegation to meet the Chairman of NSCN(K) S Khaplang to convey the request of the PWC for resumption of the ceasefire agreement with the Union Government, he said. PTI
