Delegates� meet of State�s Jatiya Bidyalays

GUWAHATI, April 29 - The Assam Jatiya Bidyalay Education Council (AJBEC) organised a meeting of the delegates of various Jatiya Bidyalays of Assam which are involved with the genesis of Assam Jatiya Bidyalay movement, at the District Library here on Sunday, stated a press release today.

The main objective of the meeting was to discuss some important educational and organisational aspects of AJBEC.

The meeting started with the hoisting of the organisation flag by the chairman of AJBEC, Ranjit Narayan Deka, at 10 am. The coordinator of AJBEC Ashim Krishna Baruah delivered the welcome address and expressed gratitude to all the delegates for their support and cooperation for the successful completion of all the programmes of the silver jubilee celebration of Assam Jatiya Bidyalay.

Rabindra Barman, vice Principal of Assam Jatiya Bidyalay, in his speech dwelt on the new plans of AJBEC, as part of which a list of Jatiya Bidyalays implementing the principles of AJBEC is proposed to be published every year for information of the public.

This was followed by a lecture on the topic �Pre-school education and Assam Jatiya Bidyalay� delivered by Nirmali Adhikary, retired teacher, Assam Jatiya Bidyalay.

Some of the delegates also expressed their opinions. Another coordinator of AJBEC (teachers� training), Aparajita Dutta, informed the delegates about the AJBEC teachers� training that will be held from July 8 to 13, 2019.

The secretary of AJBEC Dr Narayan Sharma delivered a speech urging the delegates present to be obliged to the ideology of AJBEC and to follow its ideals in letter and spirit, in order to be a part of the Assam Jatiya Bidyalay movement.

The silver jubilee souvenir, Alok Sandhani, was distributed among the delegates present in the programme.

The meeting, in which about 503 delegates from 330 Jatiya Bidyalays from across the State were present, came to an end with the offering of the vote of thanks by Vice Principal Aparajita Bora.
