Defence Pension Adalat inaugurated

GUWAHATI, Dec 7 - The 137th Defence Pension Adalat was inaugurated this morning at the Rhino Hall & Training Auditorium at Narangi military station by Shobhana Joshi, Controller General of Defence Accounts, New Delhi in presence of Dr GD Pungle, Principal Controller, Allahabad and Maj Gen AK Jha, GOC 51 Sub Area among others, a defence press release stated.

The main aim of the Adalat is to redress pension-related grievances of defence pensioners.

The Adalat which has been organised under the aegis of the Controller General of Defence Accounts, New Delhi, was specially marked by the presence of a number of officers from services headquarters, defence accounts department, public sector banks and treasuries.

It aims to settle pension-related grievances of a large number of defence pensioners being paid by public sector banks, DPDOs, treasury offices etc.
