MORIGAON, Nov 28: The 22nd death anniversary of veteran sports organiser and the former general secretary of the Assam Football Association � Khirode Boruah � was observed here on Friday.
In the morning, a mass jogging began from the Morigaon stadium under the auspices of Morigaon District Sports Association. The teachers and students of GKB College, Morigaon, took out a silent procession protesting against terrorism.
It is worth mentioning that Boruah was shot dead by ULFA militants on November 27, 1993. A prayer meeting was also held at the Morigaon district Congress office in memory of Late Boruah.
