GUWAHATI, Feb 2 � Theatre lovers particularly those who have an inclination for comedy will have to wait just a few more days to enjoy their favourite genre of drama. Stage Fusion is going to present its fifth production, Date at 8, an English comedy at Guwahati ITA Centre, Machkhowa on February 11 and 12.
It needs to be mentioned here that the earlier productions of Stage Fusion Where is the Star, Double Trouble, I am only Human, and Road to Hell were well accepted by the theatre lovers here in Guwahati, Shillong, Tezpur, Dimapur and Kolkata.
According to a member of Stage Fusion, this year too the team will tour to various places in the North East and also to Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad with its latest production for which Airtel is one of the main supporters besides the others sponsors.
�Stage Fusion is an energetic, highly talented theatre group of well placed professionals, for whom theatre is a passion. For the members of Stage Fusion it is this very passion which makes them take out time from their hectic schedules to be a part of their hearts calling,� said the member adding that Stage Fusion likes to specialize in comedies because the members feel that in this hectic, stressful and fast paced life people need ample doses of laughter.
�This play Date at 8 promises a fun filled�entertaining evening to the audience,� said the member.
During the previous years, Stage Fusion had contributed the proceeds of the plays to charity organisations like Sishu Sarothi, Snehalaya, Guwahati Blind School, Dwar Jingkyrmen, Ambikagiri Rai Choudhury Old Age Home and the Hearing impaired Centre at Barapani.
The cast this year includes Ranjeev Lal Barua, Neetali Das, Manash K Das, Dr Bijoy Chaudhury, Nayantara Sarma, Florence H Rabha, Rupa H Som and Debajit Chaliha. The director of the play is Rupa Hazarika Som.
