Sardar Darshan Singh, son of Late Kapoor Singh of Lanka town and a resident of Borkola Singh gaon of Nagaon district passed away at the GMCH on January 23 due to old-age ailments. He was 78.
He was a veteran social worker and an active member of the Assamese Sikh Association (Assam) and other several social-cultural organisations of the local area. His last rites were performed at his village cremation ground.
He leaves behind his wife, a son, a daughter, grandson, grand daughter, friends and a host of relatives. His death cast a pall of gloom in the entire Borkula area. The Assamese Sikh Association (Assam) and Borkola Singh gaon Sikh Samaj have deeply condoled his death
