By Correspondent

ITANAGAR, Oct 12 - Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama has consented to visit the frontier State of Arunachal Pradesh in the second week of March next year.

The Dalai Lama conveyed this to Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu when he along with State leaders including Speaker Tenzing Norbu Thongdok, Deputy CM Chowna Mein and Minister Rajesh Tacho had an audience in New Delhi on Sunday and requested for the religious gurus visit to the State.

We are eagerly waiting for the cherished moments of your holy presence in Arunachal Pradesh, Khandu said at the meeting.

The Dalai Lama in his advice to the delegation called for adopting compassionate approach while dealing with the public. You are public servants, so you should all come out from the party lines to live upto the peoples aspirations, he said.

The Dalai Lama shared the pain of growing hatred in the world and said that no religion in the world advocates ill treatment to others. Peace and compassion should be adopted in letter and spirit to achieve the peace of mind, he advised.

He accepted the invitation and tentatively fixed the dates of his visit to Arunachal in second week of March 2017.
