GUWAHATI, April 17 - The residence of an 80-year-old woman located in Geetanagar area in the city was looted by a dacoit last night.
Police said the woman, Ranjana Sarma, was tied up by the dacoit and even assaulted before he decamped with cash and valuables. Sarma lives in Rodalee Apartment near Geetanagar Police Station.
Her younger son lives in the same building, but on a different floor. Police said the dacoit looted Rs 30,000 cash, ATM cards, a ring, earrings and other valuables.
