Cyclone disrupts power supply in East Siang dist

ITANAGAR, April 2: Power supply to the Ruksin subdivision in East Siang district has been disrupted due to widespread devastation caused by a cyclonic storm this morning.

Official sources said that the cyclonic storm that lashed the Ruksin and Sille-Oyan area in East Siang completely snapped the power distribution system.

All-out efforts are being made by the Power Department for restoration of the system. Works are going on in full swing in the cyclone-affected areas including Ruksin, Sille-Oyan, Rani and Sika-Bamin for immediate rectification of the 33 KV Jonai-Pasighat, 11 KV lines and LT system, sources in the Ruksin Electrical Subdivision said.
