JORABAT, May 24 - In a sensational incident, a Reliance petrol pump located at Byrnihat in Ri-Bhoi district of Meghalaya allegedly sold petrol mixed with water to a few customers today. Byrnihat Police had to rush to the spot and control the situation after a chaotic scene ensued at the petrol pump.
About 25-30 people, who filled the fuel tanks of their two-wheelers at the petrol pump, came back, pushing their bikes after they ran out of fuel after travelling some distance. A few four-wheeler owners also made similar complaints.
The aggrieved customers reported the matter to the Byrnihat Police, which took fuel samples for investigation.
