GUWAHATI, April 30 � Twelve finalists will compete in the finale on May 9 to become the champions of the second edition of the cultural festival �Vodafone Rongalir Ron�.
The winners of the auditions will battle it out in the finale to be held at the AEI field, Chandmari, Guwahati.
The auditions were held at 6 locations across Assam � Guwahati, North Lakhimpur, Dibrugrah, Jorhat, Tezpur and Bongaigaon. The winner of this competition will be felicitated with prize money of Rs 2 lakh. Apart from this, the best individual performer amongst the participating troupes will also be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 50,000 for his/her outstanding performance throughout the contest.
At the grand finale, each finalist will perform Bihu dance for a maximum of 20 minutes with a panel of renowned celebrities � Nishita Goswami, Shyamontika Sharma, Barasha Rani Bishaya and eminent Bihu experts will assess the performances of the teams and individuals. Based on the ratings given by the judges�and the number of SMSes received, the winners will be declared and awarded the prize money.
