GUWAHATI, Oct 24 - Actor, playwright and cultural activist Hirakjyoti Das passed away today. He was 43.
A teacher by profession, Das was actively associated with drama and acting and had been a tireless worker engaged in the State�s drama movement. He performed outside the State on a number of occasions, drawing accolades. He was born at Tihu on April 22, 1972.
Various organisations have mourned Das� premature death, terming it a great loss for the State�s cultural world.
He leaves behind his parents, wife, a daughter and a son.
