GUWAHATI, March 27 - The Central Railway Sports Association (CRSA) secured the third position in the 61st Inter Railway Cricket Tournament defeating North Central Railway Sports Association (NCRSA) by eight wickets at the Assam Cricket Association�s Barsapara Stadium here today.
Put in to bat, NCRSA batsmen could only manage 119 runs before being bundled out in 39.5 overs. Md Zahid Ali top scored for his side with 39 runs while Danish Ali remained unbeaten on 16. Parappa Moordy was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets to his kitty for 29 runs in his nine overs while Manish Rao scalped three wickets conceding 13 runs in 8.5 overs.
In reply, Central Railway put up 123 runs for the loss of two wickets in 29.4 overs. Sanjog Binkar scored an unbeaten 43 while Amit Paunikar chipped in with 30 runs. Ambikeswar Mishra and Danish Ali scalped a wicket each.
