JORABAT, Oct 21 - IGP of CRPF�s north-eastern sector Sonal V Misra led a senior level official programme to pay homage to their colleagues who died in the line of duty, on the occasion of Police Commemoration Day here today.
A CRPF team that also included JPK Ray, DIG, Range Guwahati and UM Baishya, Commandant GC, Guwahati, visited a CRPF martyr�s home at Maloibari under Khetri Police Station to remember the supreme sacrifice made by their son.
The visit was aimed at looking at the wellbeing of the martyr�s family and addressing their problems, if any, informed an official.
Police Commemoration Day is observed on October 21 every year to pay respect to 10 policemen who were killed by Chinese troops in an ambush in Hot Springs area near Ladakh on October 21, 1959.
