Credibility of SEBA, AHSEC under scanner

By Staff reporter

GUWAHATI, March 23 Eight organisations including the All Assam Students Union (AASU) and Assam College Teachers Association (ACTA) today expressed apprehension and concern over the credibility of Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) and the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) in conducting examinations.

The organisations which sat for a meeting at Swahid Nyas also demanded Governments intervention in the wake of repeated goof-ups made by the Board and the Council, especially while issuing admit cards and printing question papers.

At a press conference organised today, AASU adviser Dr Samujjal Bhattacharya said, At no cost can we allow the interest of the students to be compromised. We want both the SEBA and the Council to do whatever is necessary to ensure security to the future of lakhs of students.
