TEZPUR, Dec 29 - The two-day-long COVID-19 vaccine dry run started in five sites of Sonitpur district including Tezpur Medical College, Dhekiajuli CHC, Tezpur Urban Health Centre (Jahajghat), Times Hospital (Private Health Institution) and No. 2 Rongaghora HWC under Dhekiajuli BPHC today. In the Tezpur Urban Health Centre (Jahajghat), altogether 25 Covid warriors took part in the vaccine demonstration programme.
Deputy Commissioner Manvendra Pratap Singh visited the Urban Primary Health Centre at Jahajghat and monitored the Covid-19 vaccine dry run process that was held from 9 am to 11 am. The health workers successfully demonstrated the vaccine dry run process before the beneficiaries. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner after visiting the Jahajghat vaccine dry run site said that a total of 25 persons from medical department including ASHA workers, laboratory technicians, cleaners took part in the process. �Six thousand beneficiaries have been registered for the first phases of vaccination once the much-awaited vaccine arrives in the Health department of the district,� the Deputy Commissioner mentioned.
