IMPHAL, Nov 3 - In a shocking incident, a Manipuri couple was found dead inside their house in Manipur�s Jiribam sub-divisional headquarters on Thursday, reports said.
The incident came to light when family members checked as the woman did not come out of her house at Champanagar locality, it said.
The husband has been identified as L Iboyaima (35) and the wife Chirom Ningol Sanjeeta Devi (30), the sources said. Sanjeeta is a police constable and currently posted at Jiribam.
Their bodies were found inside the room with the husband�s body hanging. The body of the housewife bore some injury marks.
PTI adds: It was being suspected that the man killed his wife by hitting her with a blunt object in the head and then committed suicide by hanging. The bodies were brought to Imphal for post-mortem.
