SHILLONG, March 4 - NPP president Conrad Sangma has accepted to be the Chief Minister of the new coalition government and it is likely he would contest from Songsak seat in Garo HIlls.
Outgoing CM Mukul Sangma has won from Songsak and Ampati. He has to therefore resign from one seat and byelections would be held. Sources said that Sangma would retain Ampati and resign from Songsak.
